Synthes (Hong Kong) Ltd., formerly called Mathys (Hong Kong) Ltd., has been serving the community directly since April 1995. We have a small but dynamic and professional team of 9 persons (in 2005), specialized in the fields of traumatology, power tools, spine, cranio-maxillofacial and biomaterials, along with support personnel, highly committed to satisfying the needs of hospitals, clinics, surgeons and patients in Hong Kong and Macao.

Our services

Over the years, we have been providing top quality implants and instruments and excellent services to all clients, with increasing benefits for patients, surgeons and operation room staff as well as society in general. Our aim has always been to support and serve clients as good partners, with everyone in the company doing their utmost. Our specialists will discuss surgery options and provide usage demonstrations for products, as well as helping with skills and tips on handling instruments. There is also a variety of loan sets available for clients to use and support their services to patients. Sets and products are delivered on time whenever needed, even in the case of midnight emergency calls.

Our training courses

Working closely together with various parties, we are able to provide the latest technology in treating bone diseases, disorders and fractures. Every year, we organize a wide range of training courses for surgeons and operating room staff in co-operation with the AO, AO Spine, AOEA and the AOAA Hong Kong Chapter. The new technologies, surgical approaches and techniques are presented, and there are also formal lectures, workshops, live surgeries and case discussions. Participants from all over the Asia/Pacific region have the chance to learn up-to-date knowledge and surgical techniques to benefit themselves, their patients and the standard of health care in their countries. Further training opportunities for our customers in overseas countries, in terms of courses, seminars, symposiums and fellowships, are realized through the wide network of training centers and hospitals in overseas countries that are connected with us.
