USS II

A comprehensive deformity system with screws and hooks for multiple applications.

The Synthes USS II is a system based on the clinically proven Universal Spine System USS. As an universal system, USS II fulfills the high demands of both surgeons and surgical staff. It comprises modules for the posterior and anterior approach and allows the use of 5 mm or 6 mm diameter rods. The titanium version is available with the screws color coded by diameter for easy identification.

The dual opening of the hooks and screws allows application of the rod to either side of the implant depending on situation. Screw diameters range from 4.2 mm to 9.0 mm. The profile height is minimal; in appropriate circumstances the surgeon may choose a 5-mm rod, thereby further reducing the profile of the construct.
