The Synthes Geriatric Fracture Program provides a comprehensive approach to providing care for the elderly fragility fracture patient. Synthes recognizes that these patients tend to have a wide range of co-morbidities and consequently, a need for a multidisciplinary care approach.
Research has proven that patient outcomes are improved when multidisciplinary care is provided. The program includes many of the necessary tools to guide a hospital in developing a Geriatric Fracture Program. These include, but are not limited to, providing a project plan, sample protocols, and care plans.
The program also includes a database specifically designed to track the care and outcomes of geriatric fracture patients.
