SynPOR implants are used for orbital floor reconstruction and facial augmentation. The implants are manufactured from an inert, nonabsorbable polymer, formulated to contain a network of open and interconnecting pores approximately 100–250 μm in size. Interconnected pores of these sizes support fibro - vascular tissue ingrowth, which supports relative host incorporation.
SynPOR orbital floor mesh plates incorporate titanium mesh constructed from commercially pure titanium covered with SynPOR. They allow for an optimal reconstruction of the orbit with the ease of implant insertion of SynPOR and the stability of the titanium mesh.
Key Features & Benefits
- Porous structure — Allows fibrous tissue in-growth
- Insert material — Maintains volume permanently
- Fine surface structure — Easy insertion of the implants
- Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylen (UHMWPE) — Malleable and biocompatible
- Titanium embedded in UMHWPE — Great contourability and smooth implant surface compared to pure titanium implants
Indications
