The company Synthes, s.r.o. was established in August 1996 as

a subsidiary company of Synthes GmbH. It is based in Prague 5,

Radlická 740/113d.

The company's main task is to distribute instruments and implants of the brand Synthes (registered trademark of the instruments and implants approved by AO Foundation). The product portfolio ranges from systems for surgical implants in traumatology to products for spine and cranio-maxillofacial surgery.

Most of the products ordered within the Czech Republic are delivered from the company's Prague stock. Synthes also offers a loan service for the evaluation of new products or for specific surgeries.

In addition to the assortment of instruments and implants, Synthes also offers air-powered and battery-powered tools, such as drills, saws, reamers etc. for skeletal surgery. The company also organizes the maintenance of these power tools.
