The Craniomaxillofacial (CMF) Distraction System is a modular system of internal distraction devices that are used to gradually lengthen the mandible body and ramus.

–	Modular system of intraoral distraction devices offered in a variety of designs and sizes to fit patient anatomy
–	Footplates available in cloverleaf and mesh designs in four sizes to fit a wide range of patients, 1.0 mm and 1.3 mm for children under 12 months of age, and 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm for older patients
–	2.0 mm footplates accept locking screws for added strength - End-translating and center-translating distractor bodies available for maximum placement options of the distractor on the mandible
–	Flexible and rigid extension arms are easily removed during the consolidation phase without a surgical procedure

Indications

–	The Synthes Craniofacial (CMF) Distraction System is intended for use as a bone stabilizer and lengthening (and/or transport) device for correction of congenital deficiencies or post-traumatic defects of the mandibular body and ramus where gradual bone distraction is required.
–	The system of 1.0 mm and 1.3 mm is recommended for children under the age of 12 months and 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm is recommended for older patients.
