Synthes Austria was founded in Salzburg as a Mathys company in 1963. Since then, we have been the official representative for the original instruments and implants of the AO/ASIF (Association for the Study of Internal Fixation) in Austria. In 2004 we became a subsidiary of Synthes Inc., one of the leading producers of trauma implants and instruments in the world.
Synthes Austria, which is located in Salzburg, currently employs around 40 people in sales, marketing, customer service and administration.
In addition, around 60 highly qualified employees produce Synthes implants and instruments in our own producing plant in Salzburg.
Our mission is to satisfy our customers' needs by offering high quality instruments, implants and power tools for the treatment of fractures in traumatology, spine, cranio-maxillofacial and neuro surgery combined with a total service concept including technical support by experienced sales people for each product line.
