Advanced ACF Spacers and Luminary T-PLIF Spacers are processed by the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation (MTF), and facilitated through Synthes. They are processed human bone tissue devices that meet the specific demands of anterior cervical and transforaminal posterior lumbar interbody fusion, respectively. The spacers are the premium allograft implants, precisely machined from the cortical bone of femur or tibia. They are the only cervical and lumbar/lumbosacral allograft tissue form with osteoinductive potential offered by MTF: all implant surfaces have been demineralised.
Key Features & Benefits
- Demineralised surfaces — Osteoinductive potential for enhanced fusion
With these new allograft spacers a surgeon can shorten the OP-time and reduce patient morbidity due to the eliminated bone graft harvesting. Furthermore, a fast and reliable interbody fusion will be promoted by demineralised surfaces, large lumen for osteobiologic material and optimal biomechanics of the allograft spacers.
Indications
Cervical Spine
- Ruptured and herniated discs
- Degenerative disc diseases
Pseudarthrosis or failed spondylodesis
For multisegmental fusion, additional stabilisation with adequate internal fixation is recommended
Lumbar and Lumbosacral Spine
- Degenerative disc diseases
- Revision procedures for post-discectomy syndrome
- Pseudarthrosis or failed spondylodesis
- Degenerative spondylolisthesis
- Isthmic spondylolisthesis
Should only be applied in combination with adequate internal fixation
